2110 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to redistribute demand in the primary and community health care sector to other work forces?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, the Comprehensive Primary and Community Care Teams initiative supported the expansion of other workforces into primary care. This includes the introduction of roles such as pharmacists, kaiāwhina, paramedics and care coordinators.
