2108 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to explore regulatory changes for midwifery to address workforce shortages?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the Midwifery Council is responsible for setting out the regulatory framework for the midwifery workforce. No specific actions were taken by health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora in this area between October and December 2023.
