2096 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What work, if any, has been undertaken with primary and community providers in the last quarter to develop trades and training for Kaiawhina?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Te Aka Whai Ora worked with Toitu te Waiora to provide input into the Health and Wellbeing Review 2024, to ensure recognition of prior and future learning is fit for purpose. Additionally, Te Aka Whai Ora, in partnership with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, provided advice to the New Zealand Health Group to register a micro-credential and create content for kaiāwhina to complete non-complex reviews.
