2084 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to expand support for Kaimahi maori in the health sector?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised Te Aka Whai Ora engaged Te Kurahuna in April 2023 to deliver courses focused on developing health workers. There has been regular engagement with Te Kurahuna to track progress and to develop strategies to support increasing the interest of the programmes offered in the last quarter. Courses reached 431 kaimahi Māori between October 2023 and February 2024.
