2069 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to grow our numbers of student placements for kaupapa Māori and Pacific providers, and in primary and community settings?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in December 2023, Te Rau Ora ran a series of internship opportunities across hauora Māori partners. In addition, I am advised between October to December 2023 a number of Pacific students graduated from two summer internship programmes.
