2051 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Climate Change: Can the Minister confirm his priorities for Māori, if any?

Hon Simon Watts: My priorities include those outlined in the Speech from the Throne and the coalition agreements that are relevant to my portfolio as Minister of Climate Change. The Government will also deliver the second Emissions Reduction Plan, which will be published by December 2024, which will further expand on the Government's priorities. I am also focused on climate adaptation, and delivering a framework to ensure communities are able to respond to the impacts of climate change, including Maori.
