2042 (2026). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Prime Minister: Were any conflicts of interest declared by Ministers during Cabinet discussions on critical minerals, and if so, what is the nature of these?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In order to maintain the confidentiality of Cabinet proceedings, it is not in the public interest to provide details of the discussions at Cabinet. Disclosures of information relating to Ministerial conflicts of interest are inherently confidential and not disclosed. This has been the approach of successive administrations, and I do not intend to depart from it.
