1948 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What engagement, if any, has he had with councils that have argued transport projects were advanced without sufficient collaboration between central government, Waka Kotahi, and local authorities?

Hon Chris Bishop: Ministers and officials meet with councils regularly. Where concerns about collaboration or timing have been raised, officials have followed up to improve channels, clarify processes and address integration issues.
