1928 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter July to September 2024 to ‘Develop person-specific care plans to meet the holistic needs of people affected by cancer’ under Outcome 4: New Zealanders have better cancer survival, supportive care and end-of-life care, as part of the New Zealand Cancer Action Plan 2019 – 2029?
Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. This includes New Zealanders living with cancer. I am advised that progress has been made, including the release of a national model of care which enables access to the new medicines funded by Pharmac as a result of our Government’s $604 million funding up-lift for cancer treatments and additional new medicines.
