1913 (2026). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: At how many locations will NZ Post offer retail services where personal assistance is available to consumers once the locations at which it has proposed to remove retail services cease providing those services?
Hon Simeon Brown: The Deed of Understanding between the Government and NZ Post sets out the minimum service requirements for NZ Post's mail business. This includes for NZ Post to maintain a minimum number of service points where personal assistance is available to consumers for the purchase of additional postal services. For the first two years under the recently amended Deed the minimum number is 240. Following the NZ Post initiated changes to the retail urban network there will be 361 service points where personal assistance is available.
