1886 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many houses, if any, does Kāinga Ora own in total and how many of those houses, if any, have tenancy agreements in place?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it owns 74,926 (public and supported) properties as at 31 December 2025. Of these, 73,122 are occupied, so will have tenancy agreements in place.
