Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred in the quarter towards the initiative to focus compliance activities on tobacco sales to minors, both online and in-store, as included on page 12 of 'Getting to Smokefree 2025', as at 27 January 2025?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the October - December 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand carried out 90 in-store controlled purchase operations focused on tobacco sales to minors, resulting in 20 infringement files being sent to the Ministry of Health.
