1881 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred in the quarter towards the initiative to encourage people to 'give it another go' by mobilising community champions to drive new quit attempts, as included on page 16 of 'Getting to Smokefree 2025', as at 27 January 2025?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that during the October - December 2024 quarter, a grassroots community campaign, ‘That’s Us Smokefree 2025’, was designed. The campaign was launched on 1 January 2025 and will be the theme for World Smokefree May 2025. I am further advised that the provider Hāpai Te Hauora launched ‘Smokefree Streets’, which seeks to foster community conversations about creating smokefree streets and the commitments needed to achieve them. All activations link to Stop Smoking Services and promote community-wide awareness.
