1817 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister of Conservation: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on Avian Flu and it's potential arrival in New Zealand?

Hon Tama Potaka: I received updates on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) through my Department of Conservation status reports in December and February. These updates covered the spread of HPAI into the sub-Antarctic and the work that the Department has been undertaking in conjunction with the Ministry for Primary Industries to prepare for the arrival of HPAI.
