1796 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: What advice, if any, broken down by date and title, has the Minister received on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme or any other emissions reduction initiatives within their portfolios?

Hon Mark Mitchell: In May 2024 the Minister for Sport and Recreation sought advice from Sport New Zealand regarding their environmental responsibilities as part of their Statement of Intent process. Sport NZ provided brief information regarding the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. As Minister for Sport and Recreation I am also kept informed about their progress in line with the Carbon Neutral Government Programme through the Annual Review and Annual Reporting process.
