1774 (2024). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: How much, if anything, did the Minister's relevant Ministries, Agencies, and Departments spend on contractors and consultants in the period from 26 February 2024 to 1 March 2024 (both dates inclusive)?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is unable to report contractor and consultant expenditure actually incurred for the period of a week as invoices are often received after the period worked, often cover a monthly duration and do not provide weekly breakdowns, and several contracts and payment arrangements are milestone based rather than weekly work activity.
