1569 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Is Health New Zealand considering disestablishing its Consumer Engagement and Whānau Voice department; if so, how many roles are proposed to be disestablished in that department as part of the Planning, Funding, and Outcomes consultation process?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, a change consultation is currently underway to improve efficiency and increase value for money within Health New Zealand's Planning, Funding, and Outcomes directorate, which includes the national Consumer Engagement and Whānau Voice function. I am advised that any decisions on this proposal relating to any role disestablishment will be made by Health New Zealand once feedback has been considered.
