Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: Approximately how many pages of communication, if any, has the Minister's department, if any, received from the Ministry for Regulation - including correspondence, meeting requests, briefings and all other communication, across all communication channels including emails, text, and social media messages?

Hon Nicola Willis: The information requested is not held centrally by the Treasury or the RBNZ, it would necessitate searching through a substantial amount of information to collate. It is my view that the application of additional resources to answer this and similar questions is not a good use of taxpayer funds and therefore not in the public interest. RBNZ communicates with the Ministry for Regulation on a wide variety of matters including regulatory proposals as well as the Ministry for Regulation leasing space in the RBNZ building at 2 The Terrace.
