1520 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, from the period 9 December 2024 to 24 January 2025, and how many roles, if any, could be affected?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that the Ministry for the Environment has not opened any consultation with employees around any changes during the period from 9 December 2024 to 24 January 2025. On 24 January 2025 the Environmental Protection Authority opened consultation on a proposal to add up to 11 new hazardous substances staff, which will require a redistribution of functions/responsibilities across the three existing HSNO Manager roles.
