Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand has guidance for businesses, workers and the public to support safe, healthy and lawful work during and following severe weather events, including safe clean-up and risks from floodwater and silt, restoration of services, and emergency response services. WorkSafe shared messaging via media and social media to raise awareness of the information available. WorkSafe offered assistance to Emergency Management Bay of Plenty to support safe and healthy work in relation to the Mt Maunganui recovery effort.
