Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Courts: Approximately how many pages of communication, if any, has the Minister's department, if any, received from the Ministry for Regulation - including correspondence, meeting requests, briefings and all other communication, across all communication channels including emails, text, and social media messages?

Hon Nicole McKee: In order to respond to the Member's question, Ministry of Justice staff would need to manually search, review, and collate electronic communications across all platforms to determine whether these fall within the scope of the Member’s query. This process will be excessively time-consuming, administratively burdensome, and would likely divert those staff from their essential duties in delivering Justice for New Zealanders. Therefore, pursuant to Speaker's Ruling 199/6, I do not believe it is in the public interest to ask Ministry of Justice staff to carry out this task.
