1494 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What services, if any, did Merkle Aotearoa Limited provide for the contracts it was awarded by Kāinga Ora in 2024/25 and what procurement process was used to award that contract?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it engaged Merkle Aotearoa Limited (Merkle) as its Salesforce Implementation Partner following a competitive two‑stage Request for Proposal (RFP) procurement process, undertaken between June and August 2023. Kāinga Ora engaged Merkle to provide further services between August 2024 and March 2025. As Kāinga Ora had already completed a full competitive procurement process to select its Salesforce implementation partner, further tendering for these extensions was neither warranted nor expected to deliver additional value.
