1473 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What agencies, if any, are responsible for responding to landslides and slips, and how are roles and responsibilities allocated between central government, local authorities, and emergency management agencies?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that the National CDEM Plan 2015 sets out roles and responsibilities for agencies responding to emergencies at an incident site. The nature of agencies involvement in landslides depends on the circumstances of the landslide i.e. whether there is a risk to people, property or infrastructure.
