1466 (2024). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Media and Communications: Does the Minister agree with New Zealand First candidate Jenny Marcroft, who, during the 2023 Election Campaign, reportedly "backed tech platforms paying a fair price for New Zealand news," and if not, why not?

Hon Melissa Lee: I am passionate about supporting a thriving news media sector in New Zealand. With regards to the Fair Digital News Bargaining Bill, I am waiting for the select committee to report back on the Bill prior to making any further decisions.
