1462 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Children: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, from the period 9 December 2024 to 24 January 2025, and what date are any such consultations expected to close?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that they did not consult with staff on any proposed changes to employment numbers or roles during the period 9 December 2024 to 24 January 2025. I am further advised that Oranga Tamariki did consult with staff within Te Puna Wai o Tuhinapo Youth Justice Residence between 20 December 2024 and 20 January 2025 in relation to a proposed change to an existing pilot roster. This did not result in any significant changes for staff.
