Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Regulation: Approximately how many pages of communication, if any, has the Minister's department, if any, received from the Ministry for Regulation - including correspondence, meeting requests, briefings and all other communication, across all communication channels including emails, text, and social media messages?

Hon David Seymour: I understand that the Member has asked all Ministers this question. As I am sure the Member is aware, the department the Member refers to and the Ministry for Regulation are the same agency. I question whether this was an oversight to ask the Ministry for Regulation for the volume of correspondence it has sent to itself or received by itself. However, if the Member was in fact requesting internal correspondence, asking Ministry officials to collate all internal correspondence would significantly interfere with their daily operations and it is my view that this is not a good use of taxpayer funds and therefore not in the public interest.
