1429 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Did New Zealand Police contribute any funding from their baseline towards the Transition to a multi-agency response to 111 mental distress calls, if so, how much?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police will be contributing baseline funding towards the establishment and operation of Co-Response Teams as part of the Transition to a multi-agency Response to 111 mental distress calls. This funding will predominantly cover costs associated with staffing. The extent of these costs have yet to be confirmed.
