1425 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: How will GeoNet, the National Seismic Hazards Model and the 24/7 GeoHazard Monitoring Centre remain functioning to a high level in 2027/28 with annual operating funding at a 20% decrease when compared to current annual operating funding levels?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Currently, the GNS Board is responsible for these planning decisions. However, this responsibility will shift to the governing authority for the recently announced Public Research Organisation (PRO) for Earth sciences, including climate and hazards resilience.
