1412 (2026). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Prime Minister: When the Chief Executive of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet briefed him on 16 June 2025 regarding the re-designation of the American Proud Boys as a terrorist entity under the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002 did Mr King mention the pardons that some American Proud Boys members had received following the January 6 2021 United States Capitol attack?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Corrected reply: During the oral briefing via a phone call on 16 June 2025, the Chief Executive of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet advised me that after reviewing the Statements of Case for the American Proud Boys and The Base again (and considering the evidence in both) he no longer considered that the legal threshold for re-designation had been met in in relation to the American Proud Boys, particularly in comparison with the Statement of Case for The Base. The conversation was at a high level and did not specifically discuss the recent pardons issued by President Trump.
