1373 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Health: Does the Minister consider that the current health strategy actively reduces avoidable hospital demand rather than simply managing its consequences; if so, how?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am committed to building a healthcare system that has patients at its centre. While hospital treatment will always be there for those who need it, our Government has delivered the largest ever funding boost for GP clinics to strengthen primary care.
