Hon Simeon Brown: I expect modernisation of health workforce regulation will mean professional regulation is more responsive to the needs of patients, as part of my focus on building a healthcare system that has patients at its centre. The primary duty is on the regulatory authorities to ensure regulation supports health practitioners to deliver services that meet the needs of patients.
