1307 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Justice: What consultation, if any, has the Minister had with Gun Control New Zealand regarding reforms to the Arms Act 1983?

Hon Nicole McKee: I regularly consult with the Minister's Arms Advisory Group (MAAG) in my offical capacity of Associate Minister of Justice (Firearms). The MAAG comprises a balance of people from both the firearm-owning and the non-firearm-owning community. Currently a representative from Gun Control NZ is a MAAG member.
