1291 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Justice: What is the Minister’s understanding of how firearms can end up in the hands of unlicensed firearms owners?

Hon Nicole McKee: Firearms are illegally obtained by criminals through a variety of means such as illegal importation, straw-purchasing, and illegal domestic manufacture. This Government has committed to a number of actions to prevent firearms from falling into the wrong hands.
