1269 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister of Education: What dispute resolution mechanisms, if any, are available for students who may have been wrongly excluded from school?

Hon Erica Stanford: There are no formal dispute resolution arrangements for when a student has been excluded from school. However, the Secretary for Education has the power to lift the exclusion, if they are satisfied it is appropriate for the student to return to that school, and procedural criteria are met.
