Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: The statutory decision-making powers relating to the designation of terrorist entities under the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002 falls within my portfolio of Prime Minister. I am responding to this Written Parliamentary Question in my capacity as the Prime Minister. In my capacity as Prime Minister, I met with officials from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and discussed the designation of Hamas on 21 December 2023 and 25 January 2024.
