1265 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: On what dates was he advised of any concerns relating to voter fraud, stolen voting papers, or irregular voting in the Papatoetoe subdivision of the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board?

Hon Simon Watts: Officials first briefed me in writing on the reports of alleged misconduct on 29 October 2025. That briefing advised that the matter had already been referred to the New Zealand Police by the Electoral Officer, in accordance with the appropriate processes.
