1224 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Will the proposed legislation to ban gang insignia in public places include insignia on T-shirts, hats, jewellery, or stickers, and if not, why not?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: Gang insignia are being banned in public places, irrespective of whether they are affixed to t-shirts, hats, jewellery, or stickers. The display of gang insignia has been banned in Government premises since 2013. This has proven successful in reducing gang intimidation in those places. We are extending this existing ban to all public places.
