1220 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Climate Change: Does the Minister, or any member of their Office, have any involvement in the appointment of a Climate Change Commissioner?

Hon Simon Watts: Commissioners are appointed by the Governor-General at the recommendation of the Minister of Climate Change, supported by a nominating committee. I refer the member to the Climate Change Response Act 2002 Part 1A, subpart 1.
