1212 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for the Environment: Between December 1 2023 and 31 January 2024, how many, if any, rivers, lakes or beaches were closed to the public as a result of nitrate contamination?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The information sought by the Member is not collated by the Ministry for the Environment (the Ministry). Councils have a role in monitoring water quality and providing warnings in regard to human health.
