1207 (2024). Darleen Tana to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: How long was the meeting to discuss the future of the cameras on fishing boats programme held on 19/02/2024?

Hon Shane Jones: On Monday 19 February 2024, the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) hosted a Seafood Industry Forum at its Wellington office. The purpose of the forum was to discuss opportunities to grow the export value of sustainable seafood. The on-board camera programme was one of a variety of matters discussed at the meeting, which ran for just over two hours. Twenty-nine people attended in total. I provided a video message and staff from my office attended. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries and staff from her office attended. MPI had eleven officials, including a secretariat of three, in attendance.
