1202 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Digitising Government: How many full-time equivalent staff within the Government Digital Delivery Agency will be transferred from the Department of Internal Affairs, transferred from other public service agencies, or newly recruited?

Hon Judith Collins: I have been informed that there are no final decisions on the number of staff that will be transferred from the Department of Internal Affairs. As the Government Digital Delivery Agency will continue the work undertaken by the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO), current GCDO staff are expected to be transferred to the new Agency. Average GCDO staffing is 160 FTE. The recruitment of the new Functional Chief Executive role is the only new recruitment planned, outside of the GCDO’s business as usual recruitment.
