1197 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Digitising Government: What formal mechanisms will be used, if any, to prevent duplication of digital governance, delivery, or oversight between the Government Digital Delivery Agency and individual public service agencies?

Hon Judith Collins: The establishment of the Government Digital Delivery Agency will continue the work undertaken by the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO). This work focuses on system level rather than agency level governance. I expect that agencies will continue to work with the GCDO/ Government Digital Delivery Agency, as they do currently) and for the GCDO/ Government Digital Delivery Agency to clearly communicate its expectations and areas of focus and activity to agencies, to avoid duplication.
