1192 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Digitising Government: What proportion of the forecast savings is directly attributable to the establishment of the Government Digital Delivery Agency, as distinct from savings arising from existing all-of-government procurement arrangements or agency-led initiatives?
Hon Judith Collins: The establishment of the Government Digital Delivery Agency is expected to be cost neutral to the Crown and will continue the work undertaken by the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO).
Savings delivered by the Government Digital Delivery Agency and GCDO are expected to grow over time as the government’s new approach to digital investment and procurement leadership is built out.
It is not possible to predict the proportion of savings directly attributable to the establishment of the Government Digital Delivery Agency, however I expect the new Agency to be more influential in driving savings as a result of its location within the Public Service Commission.
