1188 (2026). Reuben Davidson to the Minister for Digitising Government: What sensitivity or risk analysis has been undertaken, if any, to assess the impact if forecast savings from the Government Digital Delivery Agency do not materialise?

Hon Judith Collins: The establishment of the Government Digital Delivery Agency is expected to be cost neutral to the Crown and will continue the work undertaken by the Department of Internal Affairs under the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) function, therefore no analysis has been undertaken. The GCDO’s current digital procurement function has saved approximately $800 million (14 per cent) across a total agency spend of $5.6 billion between 2017 and FY 2024/25. The Government Digital Delivery Agency and GCDO’s ongoing work is expected to build on these savings. At a minimum, the current level of savings delivered by the GCDO are expected to continue.
