1117 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Housing: Does the Minister have any intention of embedding adaptation into funding models for housing and urban development, including Māori housing, as recommended in the National Adaptation Plan and if so, how will this be done?

Hon Chris Bishop: The government is committed to developing an adaptation framework that will guide and prepare New Zealand for future climate impacts. This framework will be developed in collaboration with a range of stakeholders including local government, banks and insurers, iwi Māori and communities, who each have a role to play as we adapt to the impacts of climate change.
