1098 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What advice, reports, briefings, aide-memoires, risk-registers, or any other documents has the Prime Minister or any member of their Office received during the week of 19 February 2024, by title and date?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents between 19 – 23 February 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC): • Energy and Resources Portfolios: Scope and Delegated Responsibilities dated 20 February 2024 • Governor-General’s travel dated 20 February 2024 • Delegations to Associate Ministers: Climate change and Finance dated 22 February 2024 • Demise of the Crown Legislation Bill – Legislation bid dated 22 February 2024 • Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet - March Baseline Update 2024 dated 22 February 2024 • Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief dated 22 February 2024 • Cook Islands King’s Birthday 2024 Honours List dated 23 February 2024 • Foreign honour for New Zealand citizen (1) dated 23 February 2024 • Foreign honour for New Zealand citizen (2) dated 23 February 2024. I also received three documents on 20 February, one document on 22 February and two documents on 23 February 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents including draft documents from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
