953 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What guidance or correspondence was issued to road controlling authorities following insights gathered from the Road Cone Digital Hotline?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that guidance was provided to Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs) staff at engagements in Waikato, Otago, Christchurch, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wellington, and the Hawke's Bay, in partnership with WorkSafe, the Temporary Traffic Management Industry Steering Group and the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). The sessions provided RCAs with insights and data trends from the road cones hotline and focused on assisting RCAs to work towards greater adoption of the new NZTA TTM guidance, which included the provision of NZTA checklists and information to assist RCAs as they developed their transition plans.
