946 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many full-time equivalent lactation consultants, if any, were employed at Whakatane Hospital as at 15 January 2025, 15 January 2024, and 15 January 2023 respectively?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the number of lactation consultants employed at Whakatane Hospital on 15 January 2023 and 15 January 2024 was 0.6 FTE. I am further advised that from the week commencing 13 January 2025, 0.4 FTE from Whakatane commenced working in Tauranga on a temporary basis.
