908 (2024). Helen White to the Minister of Justice: How much, if any, has each of the Minister’s Departments, Ministries, and Agencies spent to identify "savings options" that will cause 6.5% cuts, as at 19 February 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised the work to identify savings options is resourced by employees from across the Ministry of Justice, including from corporate, policy, and operational functions. I am advised that the Ministry’s financial records do not attribute the costs of employees and overheads to particular pieces of work, so it is not possible to provide the costs of identifying savings options.
