897 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many individuals on the National Gang List, if any, have been charged for firearm related incidents during December 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that 55 individuals who are current validated patched or prospect gang members on the National Gang List, have been proceeded against for an offence in the Arms Act 1983 or any offence code description containing the text “Firearm” in December 2024. Please note that gang information is snapshot data, and some of these individuals may not have been gang members at the time of the charge, and conversely, there may have been people who were gang members at the time of the charge but are no longer recorded as gang members.
